Registered Charity No: 1124512 (England & Wales).
The Solicitors’ Charity has been supporting solicitors in crisis since 1858. When times are hard, we provide financial, emotional and practical support to help people take back control.
Our goal is to help people to make positive, lasting changes to improve their lives for the better.
And although we’re best known for offering financial support, this is not the only thing we do. We offer practical and emotional support, as well as direct financial assistance and fund partners to provide services, to help people tackle and overcome the particular obstacles they face.
Our support is geared around:
- Confidential access to specialist expertise in welfare benefits, money management, personal debt management, career coaching, regulatory advice and emotional wellbeing
- Direct financial support, to help with the day-to-day cost of living as well as towards a wide range of one-off and recurring items
- Practical support, to help identify what steps you want to take to improve your sense of wellbeing and independence.
It’s important for us to use our resources in ways that help make a positive difference and so we want to have a conversation about what this means for the people we help, so that we can tailor our support around their needs.
The Solicitors’ Charity offers many opportunities for those in the legal profession to raise awareness of its cause including volunteering for the charity, fundraising or simply telling a friend about what the charity does and how it can help those in times of need or crisis.
