Honeypot is the UK’s National Charity for Young Carers. We support children aged 5 to 12 who have taken on the stressful, but essential role, of caring for a sick or disabled relative who is unable to manage independently.

There is little support for these children, and they must not be left to cope alone.

Honeypot, unlike any other organisation in the UK, provides a unique range of life enhancing support services for young carers. These services ameliorate the detrimental effect that caring for many hours a week has on a child’s health and wellbeing.

These services include:

  • Stress busting Residential Respite Breaks at a Honeypot House, throughout the UK
  • Education Booster Programmes for children underachieving in school
  • Memory Making Days out for children who never get such experiences
  • Wellbeing Grants that provide essential life items the children lack
  • Healthy Eating and Nutrition support, which avoids children’s mealtimes consisting of sugary drinks and snacks
  • Pastoral Support, that helps children and families to cope
