Has the LeO paid a fee to have the Select Committee investigate this?
If this was a client of a solicitors firm experiencing the level of confusion over what information was being given, not only would the firm be paying the investigation fee, it could reasonably expect a decision recommending compensation payable to its client for inadequate professional service.
