Next Monday’s London Legal Walk - the biggest fundraising event in the year - is breaking new ground. Walkers will have a choice of two routes, with a brand new 10 kilometre river route as well as the original 10km parks route, says organiser the London Legal Support Trust. Don’t worry, you have to complete only one of the two before joining the street party in Carey Street.
Lead walkers this year include the Lord Chief Justice, President of the Supreme Court, Master of the Rolls and Christina Blacklaws, deputy vice president of the Law Society. Parliamentary candidates Dominic Grieve QC and Karen Buck, plus Rob ‘Judge’ Rinder will also be there. And Obiter, of course - the Gazette is proud to be media partner for the event once again this year.
The start time is from 4.30 to 7pm on Monday 22 May. Last year more than 10,000 people took part and raised over £740,000 for charities that provide legal advice and representation.
