Taylor Wessing’s highest-paid partner received nearly £150,000 a week last year as profits surged at the domestic arm of the international firm.

Newly filed accounts for the UK LLP show that the top-earning member received £7,750,000 for the year to 30 April, up from £5,468,000 in the previous 12 months.

Last July Taylor Wessing disclosed that UK income grew 8.6% to a record £246.6m in 2023-24. Profits rose 12.2% to £91.7m, the second-highest on record, while PEP grew 13.2%.

According to the firm, its UK business has grown 57% since 2019-20.

UK managing partner and global co-chair Shane Gleghorn commented at the time: 'We are pleased to see strong growth across our offices, especially the progress in the UK and major European markets. That growth has been based on our position as a legal powerhouse in our core sectors of TMC, Life Sciences and Healthcare, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Energy, and Private Wealth, and our key practice areas.'

Taylor Wessing declined to comment.
