International firm Kennedys has reported an 8% increase in global revenue for 2021-22 - though UK revenues inched up by just under 1%.
The firm reported significant growth in North America, where revenue was up by 24% to £55m, in Latin America, which saw a 20% increase to £8m, and in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which posted a 15.5% increase to £27m.
In the UK, revenue was up by £1.4m to £153m – having grown by more than 8% last year – as the firm recorded its highest-ever global revenue of £286m.
Kennedys has opened offices in Perth, Oman and Delaware in the past 12 months, formed three new associations in Turkey, Bolivia and Ecuador and doubled its footprint in Madrid while increasing its global headcount to 2,400 people. Kennedys had decided to shut its Moscow office last autumn, before the invasion of Ukraine, as it was ‘uncomfortable with the direction the country was taking’.
In December, the firm’s London team is moving into new offices having signed a 10-year lease on 50,000 square feet in the Fenchurch Building – popularly known as the Walkie-Talkie.
Kennedys’ senior partner Nick Thomas said: 'The figures reflect our continued growth into a significant global player and are a testament to the way our teams have continued to respond to and exceed client expectations. We continue to look to the future with real confidence.’
