Top ten global firm CMS has appointed 49 new partners worldwide in a record promotion round, including 21 in London. Sixteen of the 21 UK appointments are women, among a 47% female cohort globally.
CMS was greatly enlarged through its three-way megamerger with Nabarro and Olswang on 1 May 2017. The firm reported a pre-tax profit of £159.9m for the year ended April 2018, 89% up on the previous 12 months.
Commenting on the promotions, spread across 23 countries, senior partner of CMS UK Penelope Warne said: ‘It is great to see such a strong representation of women in this year’s partner promotions.
