Gateley Legal has hired senior tax manager Tom Le Santo and tax consultant Manoj Synghal to its London office, as it launches a private client service for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
The service will cover clients’ taxation needs from self-assessment tax return preparation to managing the taxation requirements of crypto assets, as well as preparing clients for future taxation needs that will come as a result of tax administrative changes like Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self-Assessment. The team has extensive experience in engaging with HMRC on behalf of clients, ranging from disclosing tax irregularities, under one of the HMRC disclosure facilities (or otherwise), to acting for the taxpayer in enquiry work or more serious investigations.
Gateley Legal tax director Lynnette Bober commented: 'Compliance with tax rules and regulations has become increasingly important in recent years, so we are delighted to be able to offer clients a destination for all their taxation needs. With taxation continuing to become increasingly complex, there is more reason than ever why high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth taxpayers need specialist assistance with their tax compliance.
'The addition of both Tom and Manoj and the vast experience they bring means that we are in a position to offer our diverse client base a fully integrated, personal service through our new offering - allowing us to deal with all our private clients’ legal and tax needs under one roof.'
