Shelley White has joined Verisona Law in its Corporate and Commercial Team.

After beginning her studies in law at A-level, Shelley graduated with a law degree from Bournemouth University in 2009 which included a placement year in the legal department of the British Transport Police Authority in London where she dealt with contracts, service level agreements and a judicial review in the High Court.

‘It was at this point commercial law really started to interest me,’ she said.

‘Seeing how law can support, influence and resolve issues within companies really captured my attention and, as a result, was the area of law I chose to pursue as a career.’

Shelley completed her LPC at the College of Law in Guildford and then worked as a paralegal in professional negligence until being offered a training contract in September 2012 with Southampton firm Moore Blatch Solicitors.

For 18 months, she experienced working in the areas of professional negligence, asset recovery, employment and corporate and commercial and now joins Verisona Law as a fully qualified solicitor.

‘I had heard a great deal about Verisona Law; that it had a good culture, was very progressive and had an impressive base of well-established clients, so I was keen to take up the offer of interview and subsequently accept a position at the firm.’

‘Shelley has already proved a great asset to the team,’ said head of corporate and commercial law at Verisona Law, Mike Dyer.

‘She has hit the ground running and is assisting me with a variety of cases including a complex investment agreement for a well-known sports clothing supplier, shareholder agreements and terms and conditions of business. We are delighted to have her with us.’
