Spreading cheer is customary at this time of year, but one firm from south Wales has gone above and beyond this Christmas season.

Gomer Williams coordinated a community effort in Llanelli to bring together charities, schools and businesses and re-record a version of Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas?

The video, including guest vocals from the firm’s director Juliet Phillips-James, aims to highlight the struggles of food poverty and financial hardship faced by people in the community. It was unveiled this week and features Gomer Williams singing outside the firm’s head office.

The project is aimed at raising money for local charities as well as bringing some joy at Christmas.

Phillips-James said: ‘I am truly moved by how the community has come together to support this wonderful charity effort. I had a seed of an idea for a Christmas video at the start of December and very quickly it grew and evolved into this amazing charity drive for the community of Llanelli.’
