Specialist solicitor Nadia Qadri has joined Attwaters Jameson Hill, bringing with her two years of post-qualification experience at a leading City of London law firm.
There she focused on cases involving fatal medical errors, delays in cancer diagnoses, elderly care issues and GP negligence.
Nadia decided to follow the legal path after gaining a degree in English literature at Kingston University. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the London College of Law, whilst gaining experience as a paralegal and trainee solicitor at other London firms.
‘We are fortunate as a regional firm to have the standing in the medical negligence field to attract a solicitor of Nadia’s calibre,’ said Attwaters Jameson Hill’s head of medical negligence Madeline Seibert.
‘She has gained valuable settlements for many past clients, often in difficult and sensitive circumstances.’
One of the most unusual cases Nadia has dealt with involved a rare condition, acromegaly, where a usually benign tumour in the pituitary gland causes excess growth-hormone production. The condition is difficult to diagnose, so timely and thorough investigation of symptoms is vital. Nadia achieved successful settlement of the case.
‘Joining the highly rated medical negligence team at Attwaters Jameson Hill is an exciting new prospect for me,’ Nadia said.
‘The firm handles a variety of cases and has helped many clients from the region and across the country to gain settlements that help them deal with the effects of unacceptable medical treatment.’
