Registered Charity No: 272145 (England & Wales).
We are the only wildlife centre in Cornwall dedicated purely to the rehabilitation of wild birds. Caring for both land and sea birds we rescue, treat and rehabilitate over a 1,000 birds every year and always aim to release them back to the wild. Our mission is to relieve the suffering and distress of wild birds of all species who are sick, injured, ill-treated or orphaned. It is also to promote research into the diseases of wild birds and methods of prevention control or care, and the treatment of injured birds, and to publish our findings.
The hospital was founded in 1928 by sisters, Dorothy and Pog Yglesias. We are a registered charity depending entirely on legacies, donations, and membership subscriptions to fund our operations and we receive no government funding.
It has become more important than ever to help our wild birds. To achieve this we need to raise funds to invest in improved facilities at our hospital to improve biosecurity, refurbish our treatment facilities, create an isolation suite and construct a flight aviary.
Please help us by remembering us in your will with a legacy or gift in your will.
