Registered Charity No: 1078956 (England & Wales).

Most of us will have to deal with the effects of a cancer diagnosis at some time in our lives; either at first hand or through someone close to us. With over 34 years of experience, Chai Cancer Care is the Jewish community’s dedicated cancer support organisation, providing 70 specialised services to cancer patients and their families. Services include counselling, children, teenage and family services, complementary therapies, medical outpatient rehabilitation and palliative care service, advice and advocacy, home support, school support, support groups and a range of activities. There is also a freephone helpline which operates six days a week.

The flagship centre is based in North West London. There are 10 additional Chai sites across the UK; South London, Essex, Hackney, Southend, Leeds, Liverpool, South Manchester, North Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow. Services are also available in clients’ homes, hospitals and hospices for those who are unable or too unwell to reach a site. Chai works closely with the NHS, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Social Services, GPs, schools and community organisations.

We are currently supporting over 3,600 cancer patients and their families nationwide. There is no charge for services. Chai receives no statutory funding and is dependent on voluntary income and legacies.

Remember Chai in your Will and help ensure that we can continue to provide specialised cancer support for as long as there is a need in the Jewish community.
