Abby’s Heroes supports children, teenagers and young adults from across the South of England when diagnosed with cancer, together with their families. We follow a family’s journey from diagnosis, through their therapy regime, completing their treatment plan, relapse and sadly if their child needs palliative care.
- Offering emergency grants for Financial or Practical support giving families breathing space to concentrate of their families
- Giving Welfare Packs when families arrive on the ward
- Providing Care and Comfort bags
- Funding Counselling for the whole family
- Operating a Family Room with emergency provisions, washing machine, tumble dryer and a space to sit with family members- a home from home
- Funding Family Support Workers who support families along their journey
- Offering funded Play Therapy sessions for patients and their siblings
- Grandparents Support, coffee mornings and gatherings
