Lawyers will be able to pay their final respects to a ‘long-term stalwart’ of the criminal defence community who died in 2021.
A stone setting ceremony for Julian Young’s headstone – an important ritual in the Jewish faith – will take place on Sunday at Waltham Abbey Jewish Ceremony.
Young, who qualified in 1977, was a consultant solicitor at national firm Tuckers and four-time president of the West London Law Society.
The ceremony will begin at 3.30pm. A eulogy will be given by Judge Nicholas Rimmer. The ceremony will be followed by speeches, including one from Judge Brian Barker, the former recorder of London.
Sunday's ceremony will take place at Waltham Abbey Jewish Cemetery in Honey Lane, Waltham Abbey. The ceremony and speeches will also be live-streamed.
For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony and speeches will be live streamed. Email Judy Ramjeet for further details.
