So long as MoJ listens to PWC Consultants the rationalisation and ency programme will continue. The MoJ and especially the SSJ does not care about court closures because they know the public does not care. The MoJ will push ahead regardless.

For far too long lawyers have complained mos when fees are the issue. Lawyers have failed to make access to justice and the inefficiencies which plague the justice systems the issues which we address and cause politicians and the media to address.

One barrister, the Secret Barrister, has done our job for us. The sooner we address and highlight the issues about which the public might care, the better. Otherwise legal aid solicitors and access to justice will go the way of the Assizes.
