I personally have been very disappointed over the work of barristers over the years. Sometimes their work amd court performance leaves a lot to be desired. Many times also where they have conducted a hearing and thereafter further work is required, they don't have time and you have to do it yourself. They are often late to court and no matter if they have had the brief for weeks, they still are not prepared for the hearing. I am fed up of having to correct counsel's work becsuse I pay them for that. Indeed, the fact is where possible I do it myself. Also even when they have been working on a brief snd you require something to be done within a specific time, like comply with directions, you have to wait weeks after the deadline to get the grounds or whatever. Let me end on a philosophical note, very often when one criticises another, he is actually looking in the mirror at himself.......
