Anon 2.13pm - if you spoke to students studying now, you would get your explanation for 'grade inflation'. Students work harder than 30+ years ago because a 2:2 no longer guarantees you a high paid job for life. Resources are far better; every law student has near instant access to every reported decision ever, rather than having to fight out with hundreds of other students over the few hard copies the library holds. Plus, teaching has developed. People have continued to study pedagogy since you went to uni and this has had real world effects on learning! The sad fact is that students in the 2020s are simply harder working and better informed. Sorry!
