Just got back to my desk. I initially popped out at about 12.30 to pick up a meal deal from Tesco, but it wasn't as straightforward as I had hoped. The woman in front of me was asking the checkout assistant who Tesco's solicitors are and what their commitment was to reducing the gender pay gap. Her inquiry was not fruitful and so she took her business (hair nets, cat food and biltong) elsewhere.

Now alerted to the need to interrogate stakeholder capitalism metrics (?), I sought reassurances about the support offered to gender transitioning neurodiverse individuals working for the company that supplies the till rolls, however my polite enquiries were sternly rebuffed through the medium of physical ejection.

Still in want of lunch and being less than impressed by Tesco's opacity, I headed off to Sainsbury's hoping to find a beef and stilton sandwich, a can of Vimto and an indication of their accountants' plans to reduce their carbon emissions. I cam up empty handed once more...
