I can say, first hand, that these cuts are having a detrimental effect on all parts of the justice system.

Lack of police numbers and more red tape means that they just process allegations to the CPS.

The reduced moral and lack of staffing at the CPS results in seemingly straight forward matters go all the way to trial when it is obvious that it is not in the public interest, or the evidence is obvious, that the matter should not continue (A victim was turned into a defendant due to the aggressor trespassing, causing injury to the victim, but because the aggressor claimed to be a victim, the police/CPS accepted that then, the aggressor changed his statement to say that the "Defendant" did not do anything - The "Defendant/Victim" is facing a 2 day crown court trial)

The lack of court time/courts has led to vast delays (in the above example, the individual has been "in the system" for 8 months now and has to pay his own legal fees due to working hard and only just being outside the LAA threshold).
