National firm Thrings has merged with Wye Valley-based Okells FrancisLaw in a move that brings together specialists in agriculture and private client law. Thrings already has offices in Bath, Bristol, Swindon, London and Romsey.

Announcing the merger, Thrings said its clients will benefit from the firm’s increased presence on the Welsh borders and the expertise of Okells FrancisLaw’s agriculture and private client lawyers. Okells FrancisLaw clients will gain access to the wider Thrings firm’s expertise in services including planning, litigation, and corporate and commercial law.

Okells FrancisLaw was established in 1904 by George Okell and has offices in Ross-on-Wye and Lydney. The combined firm will be branded as Thrings Solicitors incorporating Okells with FrancisLaw LLP. No redundancies are expected.
