The Gazette celebrated the centenary of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act at a reception hosted in the Law Society library. 100 contributors, contacts and staff who have supported its ‘Women in the Law’ content heard speeches led by former Law Society president Christina Blacklaws, who made a toast to equality and to ‘the next 100 years’.
The reception was sponsored by Burford Capital, whose Equity Project has provided a $50 million pool of capital earmarked for financing commercial litigation and international arbitration matters led by women.
