With constant company, state-mandated walks, and an abundance of picnics to polish off, dogs have had a good lockdown. Today things will only improve, when lawyers are invited to bring their dogs to work – or, more likely, into the home office.

The seventh annual Bring Your Dog to Work Day, in support of animal welfare charities, will unleash online dog shows, pet selfies and a canine hall of fame across the UK. Legal mutts have already been hard at it, however, studying documents, donning their gowns and navigating the mire of the criminal justice system - at least according to pictures sent in by their owners. 

Frankly, now lockdown’s easing, our learned canine friends are looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet.
