Stroll on! The 20th London Legal Walk has broken records: over 18,000 walkers, including law firms, law centres, solicitors, barristers, judges, students, families (and dogs) joined forces for a day of solidarity and philanthropy. More importantly, organiser London Legal Support Trust says that the event has already raised £930,000. With donations still coming in, the total is expected to exceed £1m.

‘The funds raised will go a long way in supporting free legal advice agencies that provide essential services to those in need. We cannot thank our participants and supporters enough for their unwavering commitment,’ said the trust’s chief executive Nezahat Cihan.

Plans are already under way for next year’s event. For more information – and a chance to chip in towards that £1m – see londonlegalsupporttrust.org.uk.
