The pink jersey is back. Keen readers will remember that, in the afterglow of the Olympics last autumn, normally sedate colleagues at six City law firms spent two days sweating out a 1,000km bike ride without leaving their offices.

Obiter hears that the Tour de Law, in aid of Breast Cancer Care, was so successful that it has gone annual.

This year’s race, on 9 and 10 October, has attracted entries from 13 teams. Last year’s winner, Baker & McKenzie, will be fighting challenges from Allen & Overy, Ashurst, Bates Wells Braithwaite, Charles Russell, Eversheds, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Ince & Co, Latham & Watkins, Linklaters, Norton Rose Fulbright, Sidley Austin and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
