Desperate times call for desperate measures. With salons closed during the lockdown, lawyers have been taking matters – or should we say scissors – into their own hands. Social welfare and human rights solicitor Sophie Earnshaw posted photos of a YouTube video entitled ‘How to cut your own hair’ and her own salon tools moments before her DIY haircut.
Earnshaw said she needs to work on her layering but was ‘pretty happy’ with the result.
Meanwhile Russell Conway, senior partner at London firm Oliver Fisher Solicitors, had his hair cut by his son. He said: ‘My son is a self-taught haircutter but the skill runs in the family as my dad used to be a barber in the East End.’
Obiter was impressed by the results. Readers are invited to send hair-raising pics to obiter@lawsociety.org.uk.
