With the arts on the end of a kicking, we raise our hats at Obiter Towers to North Yorkshire firm Raworths. Thanks to the old-established Harrogate practice, the town’s annual literature festival is going ahead online and free of charge this year.

From Friday (23 October), the three-day celebration of books and their authors will be available to a worldwide audience. Guests include Bernard Cornwell; Lee Child; Ken Follett; Natalie Haynes; Jeremy Vine; Simon Mayo; Loyd Grossman and Rory Bremner.

Harrogate International Festivals chief executive Sharon Canavar, pictured right with Raworths managing partner Zoe Robinson, said: ‘As the arts goes digital, we are extremely grateful to Raworths for their continued support. They have been, and continue to be, a fantastic supporter of the arts. For the last 10 years they have given their name to one of the country’s premier literature events.’ Join in at https://harrogateinternationalfestivals.com/
