Obiter felt like we had done a 30-mile route march in full kit after watching solicitor Elouise Gregor survive a pivotal cull in the Channel 4 show SAS: Who Dares Wins. While her sister Bethany Robinson left the show after a particularly brutal episode featuring surf immersion in the wild seas off Scotland and a scrap over a tyre, Elouise survived the unveiling of Jamie as the undercover ears and eyes among the recruits.

Chief instructor Ant Middleton said some of the recruits were ‘f****** lucky’ to still be there after recruit number 4 Jamie – who notched up 10 years in the SAS - spilled the beans on the weaker recruits. ‘He’s one of us!’ Ant tells the shocked recruits.

Obiter looks forward to seeing how Elouise, whose strength comes from weightlifting, survives even more intense scrutiny. Or will she be given her marching orders, back shifting private client work at Walters & Barbary in Cornwall? Obiter is packing a protein bar for the ordeal ahead.

SAS: Who Dares Wins is on Channel 4 on Sunday at 9pm.
