It seems our former chief coroner, His Honour Judge Thomas Teague KC, will be just as busy in retirement as he was in his legal career.
In an outgoing interview after he stepped down from his post earlier this month, Teague revealed he was not quite leaving the law behind just yet – he’s chairing another statutory inquiry – but once that’s done, his plate will continue to be full.
As varied as his career, Teague will be filling retirement with music, studying and fly fishing as well as astronomy. He says: ‘I’ve published quite a number of papers in both amateur and, on one occasion, a professional journal. I’d like to develop that.’
Obiter wishes him every luck with his star-gazing.
