Could it finally be coming home? Solicitors have always fared badly on The Apprentice, usually ditched before the clocks go back, but this year could be different. Litigation specialist Sarah Ann Magson appears to have quietly emerged as a contender, coming through last week’s gardening task with grubby hands and flying colours.

Magson has largely flown under the radar in previous episodes, but has explained her lack of screen time, tweeting she contributes only when ‘necessary and productive’ and that ‘they haven’t showed a lot of me…as I haven’t been in arguments or making big mistakes’.

With plenty of candidates still to be culled, Obiter will hold back from getting too excited, but many more successes and we’ll have to dig out the bunting.
