Obiter was a tad surprised to see only four pictures of international human rights barrister Amal Clooney in a Daily Mail article about the Doughty Street Chambers tenant becoming a visiting professor and senior fellow of Columbia Law School’s Human Rights Institute this spring (compared with the 26 pictures of Clooney after she flew to Greece to try to secure the return of the Elgin Marbles to Athens).

Is the Clooney obsession finally abating? Sadly not. A day later Mail readers were treated to eight near-identical snaps of Columbia Law School’s visiting recruit ‘rocking’ the 1970s trend as she walked down a New York street in a ‘£575 Gucci top’.
