National firm Irwin Mitchell will open two new UK offices in Cardiff and Liverpool next month to ‘enhance the experience for its clients in those regions’.
The firm said it already has a number of clients in the two cities and is actively recruiting in the regions ahead of the new bases opening in mid-May.
Irwin Mitchell added that the expansion, which will bring the number of its UK offices up to 17, will ‘enhance the client experience by providing more flexible options for them to meet and work with the firm’s specialist teams’ as more people continue to work from home.
Andrew Tucker, Irwin Mitchell’s CEO, said: ‘Opening in these two new locations is a natural move for us. For our existing clients and contacts in these regions, we’re providing a better experience by moving even closer to them.
‘It also allows us to accelerate our growth around both Cardiff and Liverpool and work with even more people and businesses in these areas.
‘While our colleagues have successfully embraced our approach to hybrid or flexible working, we recognise the importance of office space, particularly in providing opportunities to meet with our clients and expand our commitment to the local community.’
The announcement comes in the same week Irwin Mitchell – which saw operating profit increase by 23% to £73.5m in the year to 30 April 2021 – said that it will pay most of its staff an extra £900 this month to help them deal with rising food and fuel costs.
