Compiling the Moving On column in the Gazette is not exactly cutting-edge journalism that will win the Pulitzer Prize, but it has its moments.

One particular favourite recently was the revelation that Sharon Stone has joined the banking and insolvency team at Reading firm Pictons.

Clearly her movie career has not scaled the peaks of 'Casino' and, er, 'Basic Instinct' recently.

This week's excitement, meanwhile, was provided by Welsh firm Leo Abse & Cohen, which breathlessly announced that 'Elvis has joined the building!' Obiter's suspicious minds were immediately justified when it was revealed that it was not the King who was joining the firm as head of corporate and commercial law but rather Sian Elvis, 31, from Miskin, who is looking forward to being 'part of the special culture the firm has'.

Don't be cruel - I think I'm gonna sit right down and cry.
