Former solicitor Soophia Khan (pictured) was back in court today against the Solicitors Regulation Authority which claims she failed to produce documents and statements following an intervention into her practice.

Today’s hearing in the Rolls Building, London, is before Mr Justice Leech who is considering procedural matters, including the inclusion of affidivates and responses, in relation to future proceedings.

The hearing is the latest in a long legal battle between the SRA and Khan, a former chair of the Law Society’s civil justice committee. The regulator closed down her Leicester practice Sophie Khan & Co Ltd in 2021. Khan was struck off the roll by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal in August.
