Conveyancers who signed up to participate in a Law Society consultation on the TA6 property information form will be contacted by the independent research body tasked with carrying out direct member engagement exercises.
Some 1,232 professionals have signed up to take part in the consultation after Chancery Lane postponed compulsory use of the latest version of the form to engage with members.
The form was updated to support National Trading Standards guidance on ‘material information’ required for property listings but sparked a backlash.

Research company 2CV Ltd will shortly be contacting solicitors, licensed conveyancers and other professionals working in the conveyancing sector, including those who signed up to the consultation, for a quantitative survey.
In-depth interviews will be held with a selection of conveyancers mid-September. Research-led group discussions will also be held with conveyancers and Conveyancing Quality Scheme senior responsible officers.
Deep-dive webinars exploring key areas of concern, including liability and digitisation will be held in October. Online large-scale consultation workshops and external stakeholder roundtables will be held in the same month.
