The coming months provide a tremendous opportunity to argue for a system that respects and preserves access to justice for injured persons. The Consumer Justice Alliance is ready to engage with the government and make this argument loud and clear.

The government must appreciate that the Jackson proposals will seriously affect the way in which an injured person’s legal case is prepared, and ultimately lead to a situation where that person is less likely to get the compensation they need or deserve. Cutting the fat from the system is one thing – implementing such fundamental changes to the average person’s right to seek legal redress is quite another.
