The online practising certificate (PC) and registration renewals process begins today for firms and individuals whose full name starts with the letters E to Z, the Solicitors Regulation Authority has announced.

Renewals for names beginning with the letters A to D have already started. Alphabetical placing is decided by the full name: Adam Williams, for example, would into the A to D band while William Adams would be into the E to Z band. The same holds true for the name of a firm or other organisation.

Applicants in the E to Z band have until Tuesday 21 February to complete the progress. Applicants in the A to D band have until Monday 13 February.

PCs, registrations for registered European lawyers and registered foreign lawyers, firm recognitions and sole practitioner authorisations remain valid in the meantime, as long as individuals and firms apply for renewal when the process opens to them.

See the renewals page.
