In the last financial year, Mills & Reeve took on 22 new partners, including 12 lateral hires and 11 internal promotions. It moved to a new Birmingham office and doubled its footprint in Leeds as staff numbers increased there by 25%.

The business has also trialled GenAI in contract analysis and drafting documents.

Meanwhile, as of June this year, the firm increased full maternity pay to 26 weeks, with paternity leave and pay extended to four weeks. Paid time is also available to attend adoption or antenatal appointments.

All employees affected by an early pregnancy loss, before 24 weeks, including partners and those in a surrogacy arrangement, are entitled to up to two weeks’ leave at full pay, regardless of length of service.
