A thriving Midlands practice with designs on expansion has announced a 53-strong recruitment drive. Davisons Law is advertising for people across its 17 locations ranging from fee earners and solicitors to legal assistants and administrators.
The biggest number of vacancies is in conveyancing and property law after a surge in demand for these services. The workforce now exceeds 470 and Davisons says this is the biggest single recruitment spree it has ever undertaken.
Managing director Gary Davison said there had been unprecedented demand across all offices which has prompted the need for extra workers. ‘This recruitment drive represents a significant milestone in our growth journey,’ he added. ‘What makes this particularly exciting is the breadth of opportunities available, from entry-level positions to senior fee earner roles.’
Specialist roles include new build conveyancing positions in Solihull and Stafford, and litigation solicitors in a number of offices. Multiple positions also need filling in the likes of Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
The expansion comes amid various developments for the firm, including the upcoming relocation of its Solihull office to a refurbished three-storey building in March, and its recent expansion into Wales through the acquisition of David Prosser, a practice in Bridgend.
The firm’s most recently-published accounts, for the year ended 30 September 2023, show that the business increased turnover by 5% to £23.4m and profit before tax was up by 34% to £2.3m.
