Manchester-headquartered JMW Solicitors has reported profits up 47% after a record year for the firm. After the distribution of fixed share equity partner drawings profits were £14.3m for the year ending 30 April 2022, up from £9.7m the previous year.
Income at the firm increased by 25% to £66.6m, with the London office – which opened in May 2019 – increasing its contribution from £10.5m to £15.7m. Income for the Manchester office grew by 19% on the previous year.
The full-service practice has said that all employees will receive a bonus of one week’s pay ‘to reflect performance and loyalty’ in what proved to be a record year for financial performance.

Earlier this year, the firm announced 58 promotions across all its three offices, with 44 in Manchester, 12 in London and one in Liverpool.
JMW’s law firm referral scheme Lawshare now has 650 law firm members nationally. Revenue for the 2021/22 financial year was £5.4m, an increase of 89%.
