Jack Fitzsimmons was a civil litigation executive with Manchester firm Antony Hodari Holdings when police officers searched his vehicle in July last year.

They found a wrapped block of material under the front passenger seat which was later identified as one kilo of cocaine.

According to the Solicitors Regulation Authority, a police investigation found that Fitzsimmons was ‘heavily involved’ in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs.

He pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to possession with intent to supply cocaine and being concerned in the supply of cannabis and amphetamine. He was immediately remanded to prison for 68 months, with sentences running concurrently.

The SRA said Fitzsimmons had committed a serious breach of regulations and it was undesirable for him to be involved with a legal practice. He was disqualified from being employed by a licensed body and ordered to pay £600 costs.
