International firm DAC Beachcroft has announced a 7% rise in profit for the year ended 30 April 2020, in its sixth successive year of growth.
According to unaudited figures, profit before tax grew to £56m which is an increase of 7% compared with the firm's 2018/2019 results. Meanwhile, profit per member rose by 3% to around £590k and turnover grew by 6% to £258m.
The firm warned that these results are provisional and may be more than usually subject to change in view of events after the balance sheet date,
DAC Beachcroft’s managing partner, David Pollitt – who was recently re-elected for a second term – said: ‘Our results reflect, at the group level, yet another year of consistent improvement. I am very pleased we were able to end the year strongly, particularly given the impacts of Covid-19 which started to take hold in the final quarter.
‘Throughout the year we continued our steady expansion – launching in Belfast, joining forces with a market-leading healthcare law firm in Madrid, adding corporate/commercial and competition capabilities in Dublin, taking on a number of new hires in Glasgow – and we have benefited from our first full year in France.’
