The College of Law has begun a review of staffing levels and is to offer a voluntary redundancy package to staff across its eight centres.

A spokesman for the College said: ‘We hope no compulsory redundancies will be necessary.

'This review will only affect a very limited number of staff and will strengthen the college’s position as the leading provider of professional legal education and training in Europe.’

The College has begun a consultation process with staff. The spokesman said it had not yet decided how many staff would be affected.
