City firm Barlow Lyde & Gilbert (BLG) has this week announced significant end-of-year profits.

The firm recorded a 17% increase in turnover for 2010/11, and saw profits rise by 35% across the board.

That figure took into account performance in both the UK, where BLG has offices and affiliated undertakings in London, Oxford and Manchester, and overseas at sites in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Sao Paolo.

BLG chief executive David Jabbari said: ‘The indications at the half year showed that we were on course to have a solid 2010/11, so I’m pleased that the hard work everyone has put in over the last 12 months has carried through to the year end.’
