Magic circle firm Allen & Overy today announced the promotion of 39 lawyers to partner across 17 offices worldwide, including 13 in London.
The firm’s latest promotion round, which it said is one of its largest ever, features lawyers in five of Allen & Overy’s main practice areas, with 13 new partners in banking, 12 in corporate, nine in litigation, four in international capital markets (ICM) and one in tax.
Fourteen of the firm’s new partners, who will be promoted at the beginning of May, are women, representing just under 36% of all those promoted.
In London, Emma Danforth, Hannah Gates, Megan Lawrence, Brendan McCarthy and Jan Skuhravy have been promoted in Allen & Overy’s banking team, with three from the firm’s corporate team – Andrew Kenning, Tom Masterman and Monika Przygoda – making the cut.
Paul Allan and Francesca Bennetts, from the firm’s ICM team, Rafi Allos and Guled Yusuf in Allen & Overy’s London litigation team and tax specialist Tim Harrop will also be promoted next month.
Allen & Overy’s global managing partner Gareth Price said: ‘The talent represented by this group of new partners is exceptional and I’d like to offer my congratulations to each of them. That this is one of the largest groups we have ever promoted demonstrates our continuing growth ambitions across multiple geographies and practice areas.’
