Law firm Furley Page has promoted five lawyers in a move which senior partner Peter Hawkes says reflects the perfect blend of youth and experience offered by staff at the Kent-based firm.
Peter, who is also head of dispute resolution, says the promoted staff are all key figures in teams which are recommended by independent national legal guides Chambers UK and The Legal 500.

Val Prosser – senior associate - Val has 26 years’ experience in the field of elderly and vulnerable client work. She became a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 1996, a global body for the most experienced practitioners in the field of trusts and estates and advising vulnerable clients. Val is a full accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly and gives talks and seminars to care home residents, charities and local groups. She has also been a volunteer for the charity Contact the Elderly for several years.
Robert Harvey – senior associate - personal injury expert Robert, who is based at the firm’s office at the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, has vast experience in all types of personal injury claims, including work related injuries, public liability, road traffic accidents, industrial disease claims, holiday claims, sports injury and product liability claims.
Susan Wickenden – senior associate - conveyancing specialist Susan joined Furley Page in 1997 and is well known to countless home buyers in Canterbury and wider Kent after a career in the legal sector spanning more than 35 years.
Deborah Geering – associate - Deborah specialises in all commercial disputes including contracts, company and partnership disputes, professional negligence, judicial review, injunctions, equine disputes, mediation and intellectual property. Outside of work, the former Ashford School head girl has established Canterbury Young Professionals, a networking group with around 130 members.
Natasha Biggs – associate - Chatham-based Natasha joined the firm in 2013 and is part of the large and busy team handling insolvency and debt recovery work. She is also an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management.
