International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the promotion of four lawyers to its partnership with effect from 1 November 2017.
The new partners are: Caroline Cherry (Professional & Commercial Risk, Bristol), Adrian Cottam (Claims Solutions Group, London), Prakash Kerai (Corporate & Commercial – Tech, London) and Rowena McCormack (Commercial Litigation, Dublin).
Caroline first joined the firm as a legal secretary in 2004, later completing her training contract here. She specialises in dealing with directors and officers’ claims and professional indemnity claims against a wide variety of professionals including solicitors, insurance brokers, estate agents, surveyors and construction professionals. She will lead the firm’s Professional Indemnity Claims Handling function, a key area of focus for DAC Beachcroft’s insurer clients.
Adrian is an experienced catastrophic injury lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience who advises and litigates catastrophic brain, spinal injury and amputation claims for insurance and self-insured clients.
A tech specialist, Prakash recently led on a multi-hundred million-pound strategic technology rollout and upgrade programme by one of the UK’s largest mobile communications companies. With substantial in-house experience, he advises on all types of technology contracts, including software licenses, SaaS and hosting arrangements, implementation projects, development projects and outsourcing deals. Prakash has particular expertise in projects with complex contractual, technical, and financial aspects.
Rowena has considerable experience in dealing with all types of commercial litigation disputes before the Commercial and High Court. With particular expertise in technology law, IP and data protection, she is a committee member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association Litigation Committee.
In addition, Beverley Atkinson (Professional & Commercial Risk, Edinburgh) has been promoted to Legal Director.
