International law firm Kennedys has added another partner to its growing professional indemnity (PI) team with the appointment of Caterina Yandell from BLM.
Caterina acts for some of the biggest names in the property industry and specialises in high-value, complex and often high-profile property disputes and professional negligence claims. She is joining the firm’s London office.
As well as handling substantial valuation claims, Caterina regularly advises leading members of the property industry on a variety of issues including auctioneers, LPA receivers, stock condition surveyors, planning specialists, land agents and mortgage brokers. She also advises institutional clients on regulatory issues and has acted for one of the country’s largest property service providers for over a decade.
She said: ‘Kennedys has a tremendous position in the London market, with a strong international reputation and great strength and depth of service to clients. My clients require the confidence to know that their needs will be met not just in the UK but by a firm with such a recognised and well-regarded international offering.’
She added: ‘I have always believed that it is essential to have in-depth knowledge of the industry in which my clients operate in order to appreciate the pressures they face. My close relationship with my clients allows me to work as part of their business. I speak their language and see my role as preventing problems, not just addressing them once they have occurred.’
