Davis Blank Furniss - the Manchester and Glossop-based law firm - is growing its core team following the appointment of two new solicitors; Charlotte Fielding will be focusing on dispute resolution work, whilst Laura Johnson is in the private client department. Both appointments follow the successful completions of their respective training contracts at the firm.

Charlotte (pictured left) studied law at the University of Manchester graduating in 2007. She then worked for two different large law firms within their high-value personal injury teams where she acted on behalf of insurer clients.

Before joining Davis Blank Furniss in September 2011 as a trainee solicitor, the firm’s second new appointment, Laura Johnson, studied history and politics at Newcastle University and she then went on to complete the law conversion at the College of Law in York.

Charlotte said: ‘Both Laura and I are delighted to now be part of the Davis Blank Furniss team full time. We both thoroughly enjoyed our training contracts so being kept on is great news – especially as so many of our contemporaries are finding it hard to secure positions, thanks to the ongoing market conditions.’
