Leeds-based law firm Morrish Solicitors LLP has promoted Oonagh McCurry and Mark Laird to partner in its clinical negligence, property and personal injury teams.
McCurry, based in Morrish Solicitors' Leeds office, joined the firm in 2014 and handles clinical negligence claims on behalf of claimants, including birth injury, brain injury, and failure to diagnose cancer and other serious conditions.
Laird, who manages the firm's Pudsey branch, has been working in residential conveyancing for over 20 years. He joined Morrish Solicitors in 2021 and deals with all aspects of residential property including complex leases, shared ownership and new build properties.
David Sorensen, managing partner at Morrish Solicitors, said: 'This is wonderful news, reflecting Oonagh and Mark’s commitment to the firm, their enthusiasm, and the excellent work they have undertaken. Their promotions show the importance to the firm of its clinical negligence and property work.
This is also a sign of the success and sustained growth the firm is experiencing, giving a platform for two new salaried partners to be appointed. We believe both will play vital roles, with the other partners and of course all staff, in leading and guiding the firm to greater success and growth'.
